Friends of the Ten Mile River Watershed is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of the Ten Mile River In MA.
The Ten Mile River is 22 miles long and drains an area of 54 square miles in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. It starts at Savage Pond in Plainville, flows through North Attleboro, Attleboro, Seekonk, Pawtucket and flows into the Seekonk River of Narragansett Bay in East Providence. The Friends are the voice of the river in Massachusetts and are proud members of the Massachusetts Rivers Alliance.
Cleanups, guided hikes, paddles, promoting the health of the watershed.
Originally, the Friends were known as the Ten Mile River Watershed Alliance. The TMRWA worked hard in the watershed from 1990 until 2003 when they went dormant. In 2018, members of TMRWA reformed as Friends of the Ten Mile River Watershed in response to needs that were not being met in Massachusetts.
